Dot Painting
Dot paintings by Belgian artist Kathleen Goegebeur from her "Dotpainting" period between 1999 - 2009.
- Kathleen Goegebeur

"I was captivated by dot painting—the works of the Aboriginal people of Australia. These works still hold a certain allure for me, but the more I learned about this art form and the history of these people, the more it began to trouble me. It is not my place to practice this art form; it is sacred, and it is not my culture. For this reason, I began to experiment—and that is why, from that point on, I have referred to my works as "experiments." - Kathleen Goegebeur
