"Niemand Wint"

"De wereld staat in brand, maar het vuur kiest geen kant.
Onder dezelfde hemel dragen mensen hun overtuigingen als wapens, terwijl het einde voor iedereen hetzelfde blijft.
Slachtoffer en dader, vijand en bondgenoot — uiteindelijk keren ze allemaal terug naar dezelfde stilte.
Dit werk is een ode aan hen allen: aan de levenden die lijden, en aan de doden die geen partij meer hebben.
Tussen as en herinnering blijft slechts één vraag hangen: waarom leren wij zo langzaam dat geen enkel graf een overwinning is?" Kathleen Goegebeur

"Nobody Wins"

"The world is ablaze, yet the fire takes no sides.
Beneath the same sky, people wield their convictions as weapons, while the end remains the same for all.
Victim and perpetrator, enemy and ally—ultimately, they all return to the same silence.
This work is an ode to them all: to the living who suffer, and to the dead who no longer belong to any side.
Between ash and memory, only one question lingers: why do we take so long to learn that no grave is a victory?" Kathleen Goegebeur
